A Pickerington resident at 8:40 a.m. July 1 reported to the New Albany Police Department theft by deception in the amount of $1,000 that occurred in the 2400 block of Beech Road Northwest.

Three hundred bales of hay, valued at $5 per bale, were stolen, according to police clerk Lauren Johnson.

The address in question is a residential property owned by a local church, according to the Licking County auditor's website, lickingcountyohio.us.
