The Delaware County Sheriff's Office said a man was arrested for trying to steal a drill valued at $229 from a store in the 6200 block of Graphics Way in Lewis Center.

Deputies were called to the scene at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 6, reports said.

In other recent county sheriff's reports:

* Items worth $450, including a generator, were stolen from a business in the 1300 block of Cameron Way in Lewis Center in a theft reported at 4:04 a.m. Aug. 8.

* Sleepware, sandals and other items were reported stolen from a store in the 100 block Meadow Park Avenue in Lewis Center at 8:19 p.m. Aug. 5.


* A video-game console valued at $200 was stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Woodard Place in Powell in a theft reported to Powell police at 4:02 p.m. Aug. 4.

* Reports said a bicycle was stolen in the first block of North Liberty Street at 10:33 a.m. Aug. 6.
