Grandview Heights Mayor Ray DeGraw will host his final Mayor's Picnic on Sunday, Aug. 18.

The event will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. at Wyman Woods Park, 1520 Goodale Blvd., with free pizza, root beer and cookies for residents.

The picnic will feature a variety of activities, including family games starting at 2 p.m. The city's parks and recreation department will bring in a water slide, so those who attend are invited to bring their swimwear. Children also will be able to get a close look at various city vehicles and equipment during the Touch-a-Truck activity.

Those who attend can learn about the city's Growing on Tradition community planning process and what items Grandview and Marble Cliff residents can recycle.

DeGraw's Mayor's Picnic -- once known as the Mayor's Cookout -- goes back to 2004, his first year as mayor. He will leave office when his fourth term ends at the end of December.
