A man was arrested for receiving stolen property and theft from a motor vehicle for allegedly stealing more than $10,000 worth of merchandise from a vehicle at 5 a.m. Oct. 6 on the 500 block of South Front Street, according to Columbus Division of Police incident reports.
Items stolen were $800 worth of tools, two hydraulic jacks valued at $2,800 total, a $2,000 air impact wrench, $400 air impact wrench, $700 worth of sockets, $400 worth of tire rods, $2,700 worth of tire accessories, a $100 pair of tennis shoes, $900 in tires, a $500 tire cage, $300 ear buds and $75 worth of metal clip boards.

* After an argument with the victim, a suspect threw a brick through the window of a vehicle at 2:29 p.m. Oct. 3 on the 400 block of East Mithoff Street.
The victim told police the suspect fled the scene before police could arrive.
* A man said he found somebody sleeping in the backseat of his car at 10:50 a.m. Oct. 7 on the 600 block of South Fifth Street.
The man said he closed the door and called police. No one was arrested, according to the report.
