A Fairfield County man who law enforcement officials say purposely crashed his pickup truck into the emergency department at Diley Ridge Medical Center on Sept. 13 was indicted Oct. 10 on charges of aggravated murder, murder and vandalism in connection with the death of a medical center employee.
Raymond G. Leiendecker, 44, of Baltimore was indicted by a Fairfield County grand jury in connection with the Sept. 13 crash and death of Scott Davis, 61, of Canal Winchester.
Davis worked as a respiratory therapist at the medical center.
Cindy Fritz, 58, of Carroll, who was visiting Diley Ridge, was hospitalized after the crash with what were initially described as non-life-threatening injuries. She died a few days later, but the grand jury did not bring charges in her death.
Fairfield County Sheriff Dave Phalen said investigators were awaiting results of an autopsy to determine a cause of death for Fritz.
