Central Ohio's newest Target store near New Albany is set for a grand opening Sunday, Oct. 20, according to a press release from the company.
The grand opening at 8 a.m. will include a celebration for guests and complimentary reusable bags for the first 1,000 through the doors.
Target had announced the opening date of Oct. 20 at the end of August.
However, the store had its "soft opening" Wednesday, Oct. 16, and it will remain open daily through the grand-opening celebration, according to Liz Hancock, a Target spokeswoman.
The Columbus store will be at 6030 N. Hamilton Road in Casto’s new Hamilton Quarter mixed-use development near state Route 161 and just west of New Albany’s city limits.
Its amenities will include a CVS Pharmacy and Starbucks, according to the release. Customers also will be able to order items online for in-store pick-ups and access online orders via a drive-up service.
The store, Target's 16th in central Ohio, has 150 employees, according to the release. According to Google Maps, the next closest Target is near Easton Town Center in Columbus.
Store hours will be 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays.
