Two men who met in a bar earlier in the evening got into a argument a little later, and one of the men picked up a potted plant and threw it through the other man's window at 10:40 p.m. Oct. 16 on the 400 block of East Columbus Street, according to a recent incident report filed by the Columbus Division of Police.

At 1 p.m. Oct. 17, a man called police and said he has received several telephone calls from someone he recently met, and the conversations have turned into threats.

It was unclear from reports if they were made by the same person who threw the plant through the window the previous night.

In other recent incident reports from the area:

* A $900 laptop computer was reported stolen at 3:08 p.m. Oct. 21 from a vehicle on the 500 block of East Livingston Avenue.

* Someone painted a message on a garage door at 11:30 p.m. Oct. 14 on the 100 block of East Whittier Street.

* Police were flagged down during a theft in progress at 4:40 p.m. Oct 17 at a business on the 1400 block of Parsons Avenue.

A woman said she watched a man exit a vehicle, break a window in her vehicle and take items before fleeing.

Two unendorsed payroll checks and a cellphone were stolen.
