The Hilliard Division of Police is investigating a fatal crash that occurred not long after 8 p.m. Oct. 27 on northbound Interstate 270, just south of the bridge over Hayden Run Road.
Jordyn Boesiger, 29, of Columbus was pronounced dead at the scene, said Sgt. Kris Settles.
The crash involved one vehicle, a Jeep Wrangler, with two occupants, he said.
Because it is an active investigation, Settles would not say whether Boesiger was the driver or the passenger, or whether the woman or the vehicle's other female occupant, who was transported to a local hospital, were ejected from the vehicle.
The other female was in critical but stable condition as of Oct. 29, Settles said.
A passing motorist had called 911 about 8:15 p.m. Oct. 27, he said.
The Jeep had left the freeway and came to rest upside down against a sound-reducing wall on the east side of the freeway, Settles said.
It is unknown whether any motorists witnessed the accident, he said.
Interstate 270 North northbound from Interstate 70 was closed much of the evening before reopening at 1:30 a.m. Oct. 28, Settles said.
