Westerville police are seeking a male and a female in connection with a theft after an incident at 12:29 p.m. Oct. 26 on the 1200 block of County Line Road.

According to reports, the male attempted to trick associates with items that had previously been returned, while the woman concealed items in her purse. A store employee was able to identify the car the woman entered upon leaving and gave the police a Minnesota license plate number, reports stated. Police are currently attempting to contact the two people.

In other Westerville police reports:

* A Westerville resident told police someone identified as a company representative attempted to steal $9,500 from her bank account by gaining remote access to her computer at 10 a.m. Oct. 18 on the 300 block of Cheyenne Drive. Police were able to remove the remote access software from the resident's computer and she contacted her bank about the pending transaction.

* A woman lost her purse at 8 p.m. Oct. 16 inside of a residential facility on the 600 block of South Sunbury Road. She said she lost her driver's license and other miscellaneous items, according to reports. No suspects have been identified.

* A Westerville resident contacted police about a cat that was stuck on the roof of a residence at 1:24 p.m. Oct. 20 on the first block of West Park Street. According to the report, the resident thought the cat was deliberately put on top of the roof and she was concerned for its well-being.
