* Police responded to a report of a stabbing at 2:40 a.m. Oct. 26 at an apartment on the 1100 block of Irongate Lane.

A 33-year-old woman who lives at the apartment called police to report she had a kitchen knife and had stabbed her co-worker, a 29-year-old woman, after a fight.

According to reports, the two women argued at a bar about the boyfriend of the younger woman.

After the 33-year-old woman had arrived home, the 29-year-old woman reportedly texted her and challenged her to a fight outside the Irongate Lane apartment.

The younger woman had changed clothes after leaving the bar and before driving to the Irongate Lane apartment, reports said.

The older woman told police her co-worker followed her inside her apartment, an allegation the other woman denied.

The resident said her co-worker struck her in the face, knocking off her glasses. She said she then swung a kitchen knife at the woman. The younger woman refused medical treatment, according to reports.

Police found the younger woman at her residence on Rickenbacker Avenue. She had lacerations and was advised to seek medical attention, reports said.

Neither woman wanted to press charges and none had been filed at the time of the report.
