A burglar who was dragged from his targeted residence by a resident ran back into the dwelling and stole an $1,800 laptop computer, according to Columbus Division of Police incident reports.
The incident occurred at 5 a.m. Nov. 2 on the first block of East Blenkner Street.
The resident told police he came home and found the intruder inside the residence. The man said he told the intruder to leave, but he refused to do so and the resident then dragged him out of the residence.
The intruder got up and ran back into the residence before fleeing with the computer. The victim told police the suspect is an acquaintance.

A $60,000 Toyota Four Runner was reported stolen at 5:06 a.m. Oct. 30 from the 500 block of Mohawk Street.
A $10,000 Toyota Camry was reported stolen between 8:15 a.m. and 9 p.m. Nov. 1 from the 200 block of East Moler Street.
A $20,000 Dodge Journey was stolen between 6 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Nov. 2 from the 1300 block of City Park Avenue.
* Three backpacks valued at $150 total, a $250 pair of boots, a $170 pair of tennis shoes, $1,500 worth of clothing, a $70 pocketknife, $210 in intimate toys, $345 of medication, a $1,000 computer, a $100 pair of hair clippers, $30 headphones and a $156 school textbook were stolen at 12:50 a.m. Nov. 3 from a vehicle on the 1200 block of South High Street.
* At 1:37 a.m. Nov. 4, someone robbed a business on the 1100 block of South High Street, taking $900 cash and a $500 safe.
Reports said the thief pried open a rear office door to enter the business, causing $1,000 worth of damage.
* At 12:30 p.m. Nov. 2, two people threw pumpkins at a house on the 600 block of Briggs Street, causing $100 worth of damage to a front door.
