The Delaware County District Library will begin collecting public input next week to guide the construction of a new library branch at the corner of Steitz and Home roads.

Three public forums will be led by library leaders and SHP, the architecture firm selected to design the branch.

Meeting dates are:

• Monday, Dec. 2 – Powell Municipal Building, 47 Hall St.

• Tuesday, Dec. 3 – Buckeye Valley West Elementary School, 4340 state Route 257 S., Ostrander

• Thursday, Dec. 5 – Liberty Township Hall, 7761 Liberty Road N.

Each gathering will begin at 7 p.m. and last about 90 minutes, library officials said.

All three meetings will include an overview of the state of library construction along with conversation on how residents want to use the new library. Those who attend will be able to use their cellphones or mobile devices to provide feedback through SHP’s software.

Residents unable to attend the meetings will be given opportunities for input after preliminary drafts have been made, library officials said.

The public also may comment directly on the library’s website, delawarelibrary.org/mylibrary.
