Chase Rudy, a 22-year-old fifth-year senior at Ohio State University and a 2015 New Albany High School graduate, dotted the "i" in the marching band's iconic Script Ohio in front of more than 100,000 cheering fans Nov. 23 at Ohio Stadium.

It was Senior Day for the Buckeyes' football team, which went on to beat Penn State by a score of 28-17 to remain undefeated on the season at 11-0.

Rudy was dotting the "i" for the second time this year, but it was his first as the honored solo dotter.

He told ThisWeek his path to serving as the hallowed punctuation mark began a decade ago in New Albany when he was was introduced to band as a sixth-grader.
