Following are Columbus and Franklin County Metropolitan Park District programs for Nov. 28 through Dec. 5.

Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park

1775 Darby Creek Drive, Galloway

Opt Outside: Hike, 11 a.m to 1 p.m. Nov. 29 at the Ranger Station. Guests can take a 4-mile hike.

Seldom Seen Glaciers, 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Nature Center. Guests ages 13 and older can take a Level 5 1-mile, off-trail hike into a gorge to see remnants of the Wisconsin Glacier.

Blacklick Woods Metro Park

6975 E. Livingston Ave., Reynoldsburg

Opt Outside: Hike All The Trails, 9 to 10 a.m. Nov. 29 at the Nature Center. Guests can take a 6-mile walk with a naturalist.

Thanksgiving Crafts, noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 29 at the Nature Center. Children ages 4-12 can make Thanksgiving crafts.

Living on the Edge, 11 a.m. to noon Nov. 30 at the Nature Center. Guests can join a naturalist for a walk to explore the area where the forest and field meet.

Story Time, 10 a.m. Dec. 2 at the Nature Center. Children ages 1-5 can listen to a reading of "The Mitten."

Metro Five-0 Level 3: Walk of the Month, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Ash Grove Picnic Area. Visitors ages 50 and older can take a 2-mile walk.

Blendon Woods Metro Park

4265 E. Dublin Granville Road, Westerville

Turkey Trot, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Nov. 28 at the Nature Center. Guests can take a 2-mile run with a naturalist.

Adults Only: Turkey Talk-N-Walk, 10 to 11 a.m. Nov. 29 at the Nature Center. Guests ages 18 and older can search for turkeys on a 2-mile hike.

Family Turkey Talk, 2 to 3 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Nature Center. Visitors can learn about turkeys and take a 1.5-mile hike to look for them.

Mammal Display, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 1-7 at the Nature Center. Guests can learn about the mammals of Ohio.

Toddlers in Nature: Goodbye Autumn, Hello Winter!, 9:30 and 11 a.m. Dec. 5 at the Nature Center. Children ages 1-3 can listen to a story about the changing of the seasons.

Highbanks Metro Park

9466 U.S. Route 23 N., Lewis Center

For Adults: First Sunday Winter Birding Series, 9 to 10:30 a.m. Dec. 1 at the Nature Center. Guests ages 18 and older can take a 2.5-mile hike to look for winter birds.

Inniswood Metro Gardens

940 S. Hempstead Road, Westerville

Preschool in the Gardens: Winter and Watercolor, 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Dec. 4 in the Greenhouse Multipurpose Center. Children ages 3-5 can have hot chocolate and paint with watercolors.

Scioto Audubon Metro Park

400 W. Whittier St., Columbus

Preschool Storytime, 10 a.m. Thursdays and Saturdays at the Grange Insurance Audubon. Guests can bring little ones for a nature-inspired story or two.

Weekly Bird Hike, 10 a.m. Saturdays at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center. Guests can search for birds in the park.

Slate Run Living Historical Farm

1375 state Route 674 N., Canal Winchester

Indoor Amusements, 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Farmhouse. Guests can try indoor games, toys and puzzles from the 1800s.

Three Creeks Park

3860 Bixby Road, Groveport

Natural Wreath Making, 2 to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Confluence Area. Guests can make a wreath from natural materials.
