A woman said she gave an unknown person a ride in her vehicle between 10:30 and 11 p.m. Dec. 30 to the 4000 block of South High Street and when she stopped, the passenger stole her purse and ran, according to Columbus Division of Police incident reports.

The purse contained various credit cards, $25 cash and ID.

In other recent incident reports from the area:

* Bricks were thrown through the front windshields of vehicles between 8:26 and 9:12 p.m. Dec. 25 on the 500 block of South High Street.

* A $60,000 vehicle containing $2,000 worth of golf clubs and $500 worth of clothes was stolen between 8 and 8:15 p.m. Dec. 28 on the first block of West Beck Street.

* A vehicle was stolen between 3:30 and 5 p.m. Dec. 25 on the first block of East Mithoff Street.

* A $1,000 computer, $150 headphones and a $50 backpack were reported stolen at 6:51 p.m. Dec. 28 from a residence on the 1200 block of Bruck Street.

The thief entered through an unlocked kitchen window and fled through the back door, according to reports.
