More than $18,000 worth of tools were reported stolen at 7:01 a.m. Feb. 24 from a construction site on the 2500 block of Beech Road, according to the New Albany Police Department.

Three theft reports were filed, according to police reports. A Columbus business reported $11,751 in tools stolen, a Grove City business reported $5,277 in tools stolen and a Lewis Center business reported $1,540 in tools stolen.

In other recent New Albany police incident reports:

* A 46-year-old Columbus man was arrested for OVI after a traffic stop at 4:41 p.m. March 1 at state Route 161 and U.S. Route 62.

* A resident at 11:16 a.m. March 1 told police that someone had gained access to an online travel-booking account and attempted to reserve a hotel room in Providence, Rhode Island, in the amount of $192.12.

* A 33-year-old Detroit man was cited for drug abuse and controlled-substance possession or use after a traffic stop at 8:57 p.m. Feb. 29 at state Route 161 and U.S. Route 62.

* A 41-year-old Columbus man was cited for open container after a traffic stop at 1:07 a.m. Feb. 29 at state Route 161 westbound and Hamilton Road.

* A 25-year-old Gallipolis man was arrested and cited for physical control of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs after a police officer at 1:14 a.m. Feb. 28 was dispatched to the 5200 block of Forest Drive on the report of an unconscious man in a vehicle behind a business.

* A 24-year-old Hopewell man was cited for drug paraphernalia, drug abuse and controlled-substance possession or use after a traffic stop at 3:56 p.m. Feb. 27 at Beech and Worthington roads.

* A 30-year-old Columbus man was cited for drug abuse and controlled-substance possession or use after a traffic stop at 12:42 p.m. Feb. 27 at Smith's Mill and Kitzmiller roads.

* A resident at 9:25 a.m. Feb. 26 told police he was notified that someone opened a telecommunications account in his name in Pleasant Hill, California, and that the balance on the account was about $5,400.

* A 21-year-old Columbus woman was arrested and cited for selling, purchasing or delivering dangerous drugs, drug abuse and controlled-substance possession or use after a traffic stop at 2:38 p.m. Feb. 25 at Johnstown and Forest roads.

* A 26-year-old Columbus man was arrested for OVI after a traffic stop at 9:37 p.m. Feb. 24 at Beech and Smith's Mill roads. He also was cited for open container, transporting a loaded firearm and illegal use or possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia.

* Graffiti in a restroom was reported at 10:49 a.m. Feb. 24 at New Albany High School, 7600 Fodor Road.
