New Albany Police Department investigators believe two thefts from vehicles reported the morning of March 20 could be related, according to police clerk Lauren Johnson.

One theft was reported at 6:17 a.m. on the 5000 block of Forest Drive. Johnson said $60 in cash was stolen.

The second theft was reported at 7:24 a.m. at the same location. Johnson said tools worth $3,145 were reported stolen.

In other recent New Albany police incident reports:

* A 19-year-old Columbus woman was arrested for OVI and cited for drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 8:12 p.m. March 21 at state Route 161 and U.S. Route 62.

* A 21-year-old Newark woman was cited for drug abuse and controlled-substance possession or use after a traffic stop at 3:34 p.m. March 19 at state Route 161 and Beech Road.

* Identity theft was reported at 5:40 p.m. March 18 on the 7700 block of Pembrooke Street.

* A 52-year-old New Albany man was cited for drug abuse, controlled-substance possession or use and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 4:31 p.m. March 18 at Johnstown Road and state Route 161.
