In uncertain times it's said you can have two reactions, hope or fear.
Your Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce is choosing another path -- adapt and affect change.
I know it's exhausting and there are a lot of uncertainties. There are many ways to make a difference and help your community through these challenges. We are here to support you.
For those serving on the front lines, we are fortunate and appreciative that you risk your health and personal needs to serve our community.
We know this epidemic is affecting everyone. I never imagined I would experience something like this in my lifetime.
When I pause, my mind goes to the feeling that this is so surreal and worry of what is next. It is such an unknown. I find that a walk, texting or calling a friend or family member and focusing on our chamber efforts keeps me directed and in a positive state of mind.
I hope you have found ways to recognize and relieve your worries and remember you are not alone.
Your chamber is here to help you endure the challenges presented in these unprecedented times and we want to assist our greater Westerville in building a community united. If you go to our homepage, westervillechamber.com, we have resources to assist with finding area restaurants offering curbside pickup and delivery; business services and job openings; and a Business Tool Kit, which is updated regularly.
Our chamber team members are calling member businesses just to check-in with them and find out how we can assist. We are also offering two webinars a week to help our businesses navigate these challenging times. Our Coffee & Conversation series takes place at least twice a week, offering information on topics such as employment law, marketing, effectively working remotely and hosting webinars. Sessions are planned throughout the month. Visit our website to learn about future conversations. Each one is facilitated by a different industry expert from our community. Although we might not be in our office, we are still working hard .
Let's work together to stay healthy of mind and body and ensure that we continue to #shopwesterville to keep our local business community healthy as well.
All details and resources can be found at westerville chamber.com or by calling the chamber office at 614-882-8917 and leaving a message for individual team members in their mailboxes, which can be checked remotely.
Final reminder, our office hours during the "stay-at-home" orders are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.
