The Hilliard Community Foundation recently presented grants to four local charities through the Hilliard Gives campaign: the Hilliard Community Assistance Council/Hilliard Food Pantry, Patches of Light, the Hilliard Kiwanis Club and Hilliard First Baptist Church Child Care and Learning Center.

The Hilliard Community Assistance Council/Hilliard Food Pantry received a $2,400 grant to expand its Senior Box Program, which provides basic food and toiletries for seniors in three living communities.

Patches of Light received two grants totaling $4,000 to supply families of medically vulnerable children with financial support for basic expenses, including food, rent, utilities and transportation.

The Hilliard Kiwanis Club received a $2,500 grant to support its program providing weekend lunch packs for financially vulnerable Hilliard City Schools students. The program is a partnership between the club and the Hilliard United Methodist Church.

The Hilliard First Baptist Church Child Care and Learning Center received two grants totaling $4,500 to hire part-time staffing to support increasing child-care needs.

The Hilliard Gives campaign is a partner effort between the community foundation and the city of Hilliard.
