The Watkins Memorial High School wrestling team will be represented in the Division I state tournament by senior Max Boyd and freshman Cole Foor.
Boyd (182 pounds) and Foor (160) both placed fourth in the district tournament March 3 and 4 at Hilliard Darby to qualify for state, which runs Thursday, March 9, through Saturday, March 11, at Ohio State.
Boyd went 4-2 at district and is 41-9 entering state. Foor also went 4-2 and is 27-15 on the season.
Junior Alec Fulwider (113) finished fifth and is a state alternate. He went 4-2 at district and is 39-14 overall.
Sophomore Jake Waldrop (195, 28-16 overall) and freshman Mason Boyd (106, 24-8) both went 2-2 at district and senior Dante Fair (170, 35-14) and sophomore Zane Rennie (120, 23-16) both went 1-2.
The Warriors scored 54.5 points to place 10th behind champion Olentangy Liberty (236.5) as 42 teams scored.
