Dublin Scioto High School girls basketball coach Jen Music received the Ohio High School Athletic Association award for sportsmanship, ethics and integrity during the Division III state championship game March 17 at Ohio State.

“This award means a lot because our staff at Scioto takes pride in teaching our players about character and being a good person both on and off the floor,” Music said.

Scioto finished the season 12-11 overall and went 9-3 in the OCC-Cardinal Division to share the league championship with Thomas Worthington. Music shared league Coach of the Year honors with Thomas’ Laurie Barr, who recently announced she is retiring after 10 seasons with the Cardinals.

Seeded 21st, the Irish lost to 26th-seeded Hilliard Davidson 54-52 in the first round of the Division I district tournament Feb. 17.
