Jeremiah Keene became the fifth Westerville North High School boys basketball player to reach 1,000 career points as the Warriors defeated host Wellington 79-68 on Dec. 11.

The senior guard needed 31 points to reach the milestone and finished with that amount as North improved to 2-2. He hit a free throw with 19 seconds left in the game to reach 1,000 points.

Keene scored 22 points in the first half and finished with seven 3-pointers. He is averaging 21.8 points this season.
