The Ohio Machine announced Feb. 15 that the High School Showcase will be held March 16 and 17 at Fortress Obetz.

The showcase features 16 high school lacrosse games to start the 2019 season. Scheduled to participate in the event are the boys teams from Chagrin Falls, Cincinnati Moeller, Cincinnati St. Xavier, DeSales, Dublin Coffman, Dublin Jerome, Hilliard Davidson, Mason, New Albany, Olentangy, Olentangy Liberty and Toledo St. Francis and the girls teams from Cincinnati Indian Hill, Hartley, Jerome and Worthington Kilbourne.

The Machine also announced that its sixth annual Senior All-Star Challenge will be held June 8 at Fortress Obetz before its home opener against the New York Lizards. The event will honor 60 boys seniors, including 20 from the Columbus area who will form the Central team. The North team will consist of 20 players from the Cleveland/Toledo area and the South team will consist of 20 players from the Cincinnati/Dayton area. The three teams will compete in a round-robin tournament.

The organization also announced the creation of a scholarship fund through the Ohio Machine Lacrosse Foundation that will support two seniors wishing to further their education beyond high school. The recipients will be one male and one female who have excelled in their commitment in growing the game of lacrosse in their respective communities.
