Pending school board approval, Haley Adams will be the next girls volleyball coach at Westerville South High School.

She replaces Veronica Brownlee, whose contract was not renewed. In two seasons under Brownlee, the Wildcats went 10-36 overall and 1-19 in the OCC-Buckeye Division.

Adams played volleyball at Williamsville (New York) High School in suburban Buffalo, where she was an all-conference player and competed on a two-time regional qualifier. She also played basketball at Williamsville.

Adams then played volleyball at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania, earning Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference honors.

“We’re pleased to bring in a person of Haley’s caliber to help take our volleyball program to the next level,” athletics director Josh DeVoll said. “She brings a passion for the game and for helping young people reach their goals, on and off the court.”
