“This is pretty nice. It’s pretty special for these kids,” coach Craig Yakscoe said. “They’re a great group of young men. Not only on the course, but off the course, too. They’re super golfers. They work very hard. They’re very dedicated to the game, to each other and the team, and it shows.”
Johnstown earned the runner-up trophy with a 337, but only the top team and the top individual not on that team advanced to state.
Northridge’s Ross Teeter (73) earned medalist honors and the individual state berth.
