The Super 7 high school football poll ended the season the way it began – with Pickerington Central alone at the top. But it wasn’t easy for the Tigers, who were the unanimous pick in the preseason poll as well as through the first three weeks of the regular season. After losing to Groveport, Central fell to seventh before steadily climbing back and sharing the top spot with the Cruisers last week. A win over Grove City and the Cruisers’ loss to New Albany gave the Tigers, winners of the OCC-Ohio Division, sole possession of the Super 7 championship.

Olentangy Liberty, which led the poll for four weeks until falling to Olentangy Orange in Week 9, tied the Pioneers for second. The Patriots were fourth last week, and Orange, the OCC-Buckeye champion, moved up one spot.

Hartley, which wrapped up a third consecutive CCL championship, climbed one spot to fourth after beating DeSales. The Stallions, ranked sixth last week, fell out of the poll.

Dublin Coffman, which also held the No. 1 spot for a week, jumped two spots to fifth after beating Upper Arlington to earn a share of the OCC-Central title. Groveport fell to sixth with the loss but still shared the OCC-Capital title.

Dublin Jerome, sole winner of the OCC-Cardinal, joined the poll at No. 7.
