Danielle Roe will not be returning for a second season as girls basketball coach at Olentangy Orange.

According to athletics director Brett Diehl, Roe’s contract will not be renewed.

“Olentangy Orange has decided to make a change in our girls basketball program,” Diehl said. “We thank coach Roe for her contributions to OOHS.”

This past season under Roe, Orange finished 4-19 overall and 1-9 in the OCC-Buckeye Division to tie Westerville Central for fifth behind champion Westerville South (9-1). The Pioneers, who went 2-2 in their final four games, lost to Reynoldsburg 62-40 in the first round of the Division I district tournament.

Orange had only one senior in guard Joy Gimei. Among the expected returnees are junior forward London Davis (honorable mention all-district, special mention all-league), sophomore guard Emma Beck (honorable mention all-league) and freshman guard Kayla Delmore (special mention all-league).

“We have posted the position and hope to have someone in place here in the near future,” Diehl said.
