Columbus Zoo to offer drive-in ‘ZOOvies’

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is offering a series of eight drive-in ZOOvies, beginning Friday, June 19, to be shown in the northeast parking lot.

The movies will be shown at 5:30 and 9:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through July 11.

Cost is $25 per vehicle for zoo members and $30 for others and includes a free bag of popcorn. Admission to the zoo is not included. Tickets must be purchased in advance at columbuszoo.org. No tickets will be sold at the zoo.

Limited concessions will be available, and patrons may bring their own food and beverages.

The movies will play on an LCD screen, which allows viewing before sunset. Movies will play rain or shine, but guests may request a raincheck. Portable restrooms will be available in the parking lot.

The parking lot will open 30 minutes before the start time of the movie.

Saturday, June 20 – 5:30 p.m., Secret Life of Pets 2; 9:30 p.m., Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Friday, June 26 – 5:30 and 9:30 p.m., Pokémon Detective Pikachu

Saturday, June 27 – 5:30 and 9:30 p.m., Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

Friday, July 3 – 5:30 and 9:30 p.m., The Goonies

Saturday, July 4 – 5:30 and 9:30 p.m., Captain America: Civil War

Friday, July 10 – 5:30 and 9:30 p.m., Wonder Park

Saturday, July 11 – 5:30 and 9:30 p.m., Happy Gilmore
