Delaware: Resident loses $6,500 in jewelry to burglar
Delaware police said jewelry valued around $6,500 was stolen in a burglary on the 100 block of Bur Reed Road.
A resident said she discovered the items missing after returning from a trip. She reported the theft at 11:55 a.m. May 18.
In other recent Delaware police reports:
* Two packages, whose contents together are worth $47, were stolen from a porch on the 600 block of Pebble Place in a theft reported at 3:33 p.m. May 19.
* A resident of the 700 block of Fern Drive said fraudulent purchases of more than $2,000 were made after she gave credit-card numbers to someone online in a scam reported at 3:46 p.m. May 17.
* Suspected illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia were found when police were called to the scene of a suspicious vehicle parked on the 100 block of East Winter Street at 12:39 a.m. May 18, according to reports.
