Delaware: Identity thefts continue in city

Delaware police said the identity of a resident of the 400 block of North Liberty Street was used to fraudulently open a utility account, resulting in an estimated $723 loss.

The incident was reported at 11:32 a.m. June 11.

In addition, the credit card of a resident of the 200 block of White Elm Drive was used to make an unauthorized purchase valued at $31 in an incident reported at 8:26 p.m. June 10, reports said.

In other recent Delaware police reports:

* Items valued at $1,500 were stolen from an apartment storage unit on the 200 block of North Sandusky Street in a theft reported at 10:59 a.m. June 9.

* A window-mounted air conditioner, a laptop computer and other items, together valued at $800, were stolen from a residence on the 300 block of Lake Street in a theft reported at 12:15 p.m. June 8.

* Residents were cited for letting animals run at large at 8:24 p.m. June 6 on the 100 block of West William Street and at 2:30 p.m. June 7 on the 100 block of Harvard Loop, reports said.
