Bexley: Stolen purse, cards recovered

Bexley police said a resident on the 800 block of Pleasant Ridge Avenue reported someone entered her unlocked vehicle between Aug. 24 and Aug. 25 and stole her handbag that contained gift cards.

On Aug. 25, another resident contacted Bexley police to report he found the purse in front of a residence on the 800 block of Pleasant Ridge Avenue.

A city employee recovered the gift cards in front of a residence on the 900 block Pleasant Ridge Avenue. The recovered items were returned to the resident.

In other recent reports from the Bexley Police Department:

* A resident on the 400 block of North Cassingham Road reported someone stole her large blue trash can between Aug. 17 and Aug. 18 from the rear of her yard.

* A resident on the 900 block of Columbus Avenue reported someone stole his city-issued 96-gallon trash can between Aug. 10 and Aug. 17.

* A resident on the 2700 block of Chelsea Avenue reported someone stole her garbage can between Aug. 16 and Aug. 19 from the rear of her property in the alley.

* An employee of a store on the 2500 block of East Main Street reported someone entered the store Aug. 16 and took several items without paying for them.
