Down on the farm

ThisWeek group
Mike Fuels leads Marcus (left) and Bob, two Percherons, as they cut one of the hay fields at the Slate Run Living Historical Farm, 1375 state Route 674, on May 21. Visitors can see what life was like on a farm in the 1880s as they stroll through gardens, barns and the farmhouse and see costumed volunteers doing chores. The farm is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays and Sundays and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is free.
Alyvia Denton, 2, and her mother, Tiffany, look for the horses during a visit to the Slate Run Living Historical Farm on May 21.
